HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
When you measure yourself, if possible, do so in front of the mirror so you can ensure that the tape measure is horizontally positioned around your body. Hold the tape measure close against your body but don’t pull too tight.
Hot Tip: Wear the underwear you plan to wear with the garment.
Bust: Measure the fullest part of your bust ensuring the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back across your shoulder blades.
Waist: Your waist is the smallest part of your torso, usually a centimetre or so above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around your waist, ensuring it is comfortable but not loose.
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your bottom or at the top of your thighs, whichever is widest. Make sure the tape measure is even and horizontal at the back and again keep the measuring tape close to your body but don’t pull too tight.
We try to include as much accurate sizing information for each product in its description box as possible. So keep an eye out for comments like ‘true to size’ and ‘runs large’ or ‘slightly neat fit in bust’ as this will help you determine the best size for you.

Caring for Your Beautiful Clothing: Tips from Azure and Indigo
The best way you can look after any item purchased from AZURE and INDIGO (and stockists) is to always treat it with love and care.
Follow these tips when washing and caring for your item:
- Hand wash in cold water
- Use only a small pea sized amount of clothes washing liquid. We prefer environmentally friendly brands!
- Turn item inside out and line dry in a shady spot to prevent any sun damage.
NOTE: It is natural for some fabrics to shrink up to 3% when having been washed.
If this occurs after washing, please don’t panic!
Fibres tighten after washing, leading to a small shrinkage amount. To return a garment to its normal state iron or steam your garment. Fibres are loosened when heat is added, which in turn returns garments to a normal state!
If your item needs a press/iron please follow these steps:
We prefer a steam iron which will allow you to hang your item on a coat hanger and gently steam any garment in seconds! However If you have only an iron please follow these steps:
- Start with a warm iron on reverse side and if this isn’t enough to remove creases turn the iron up to a slightly hotter heat. Gently iron your garment.
- Never iron over embellishments!
